Thoughtfully designed to bring warmth, balance, and timeless beauty to your home.
This is an absolutely beautiful design of two tapirs by a waterhole in a dense forest. The colours, ambience and portrayal of the animals are breath-taking!
Can you tell where the tapir fits in the animal kingdom? Despite its snout and figure, it’s not closely related to the elephants, pigs or a hippopotamus as one might think.
The tapirs’ closest relatives are actually rhinoceroses and horses. They all belong to a group called the “odd-toed” mammals. Horses walk on one hoofed toe, and rhinos walk on three toes. Just to be confusing, tapirs have three toes on their hind feet and four on the front.
Printed with Japanese archival ink on a matte Hahnemühle paper in our own studio in rural Copenhagen, Denmark.
