We want urbanfarmly.com to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology.

What we aim for

We work towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as our reference standard. That covers things like readable text contrast, keyboard operability, meaningful alternative text for images, clear focus states and forms that work with screen readers.

Where we are

We are honest about this: the site is partially conformant. Most of the site can be navigated by keyboard and read by a screen reader, but we know some areas fall short — in particular, some decorative and product imagery still lacks descriptive alternative text, and some third-party components embedded in the site are outside our direct control.

What we are doing about it

Adding and improving alternative text across the product catalogue
Reviewing colour contrast on text, buttons and form fields
Testing checkout and key journeys with keyboard-only navigation
Raising accessibility defects with the third-party providers whose components we embed

Third-party content

Parts of the shopping experience are provided by third parties, including our ecommerce platform, payment providers and any embedded chat. We do not control their code, but we do report problems to them.

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 2 business days and to tell you what we are going to do about it.
